IzzieMae graduated from George Brown College, Child and Youth Program with a double major in Settlement Work and Life-Skill’s Coaching. She spent the first 10 years of her career working with pregnant teenagers and young families, specializing in Attachment interventions and started one of the first support groups for teenage fathers in downtown Toronto.

After graduating from the Emerging Leaders Program, Schulich School of Business York University, IzzieMae was recruited by a private Foundation to develop and lead a multi-dimensional and ecological program to empower residents of a small town in rural Ontario

IzzieMae has also plied her skills and talents in Community Capacity building on a larger scale with the United Way of York Region, and provided leadership and oversight in asset allocation and resource distribution among non-profit agencies in the GTA-Greater Toronto Area

IzzieMae is currently a Trauma Coach and has a small, private practice, for Life Skills Coaching and provides consultation in Community Capacity Building for Black communities in North America.
